Frequently asked questions
Which amateur cycling races can I still ride this season?
The calendar lists the open races of the current season — road classics, gravel events, MTB marathons and hill climbs — grouped by month. Use the region tabs (DACH, USA, UK) and the filters for discipline, country, distance, elevation and dates to narrow it down; every entry links straight to the organiser's registration. The 2027 season, including the US and UK calendars, is added from October 2026.
How do I enter a gran fondo or gravel race?
Entries are always handled by the organiser — each calendar entry links to the official registration page or platform (BikeReg, Sportive.com, the organiser's own site). Many events have price tiers: entering early is almost always cheaper, and the classics sell out or run a lottery months ahead. The entry status and deadline are shown per course where the organiser publishes them.
What should I pack for a road or gravel race?
Helmet, race documents and a bike in working order are usually mandatory; depending on the discipline add a spare tube or plugs, nutrition, weather layers and, for MTB, protective gear. Every race in the calendar comes with a discipline-specific packing list you can tick off and print.
Why does the calendar show miles for me and kilometres for others?
Distances and elevation follow your unit system, not the page language: the calendar picks a default from your location and you can switch it any time using the units control in the top bar. The distance and elevation classes are defined in kilometres and metres and labelled in your units — the same class, whatever you read.
